On Vueling every passenger can take a free 40 Ă— 30 Ă— 20 cm bag that goes under the seat. A bag in the overhead locker, up to 10 kg and 55 Ă— 40 Ă— 20 cm, is only included with the Fly (if selected at booking), Fly Pro and Fly Grande fares; otherwise you pay for it separately. Besides the underseat bag you can bring purchases made at the airport, as long as everything fits under the seat in front of you.
The overhead locker bag is also included for Vueling Club Premium members, passengers who requested airport assistance (people with disabilities or reduced mobility) and those travelling with a baby aged 7 days to 2 years. Otherwise you can add it to your booking: online is cheaper than at the airport.
Checked luggage: weights and sizes
- Weight: 15, 20, 25 or 30 kg depending on what you bought or what your fare includes. If you go over, you pay for every extra kilo, up to a maximum of 32 kg.
- Size: height, width and depth together must not exceed 158 cm, including handles, wheels and pockets.
- Price: adding it online when you book costs much less than at the airport.
Bikes, surfboards, musical instruments and other equipment follow the special luggage rules and must be added before the flight.
How to choose the right fare
- Just a small backpack: the basic fare is enough, the 40 Ă— 30 Ă— 20 cm bag is always free.
- Weekend with a trolley: compare a fare that includes the overhead bag with adding just the bag.
- Long or family holiday: a shared 20 or 25 kg checked bag added online is usually best.
Tips to avoid paying at the airport
- measure your bag at home, pockets included;
- weigh your suitcase: every extra kilo is charged;
- add luggage online, not at the desk;
- follow the airport's security rules for liquids: usually containers of up to 100 ml in a clear one-litre bag.
Vueling flight delayed or cancelled?
